World Debut: BMW M3 DTM race car!

Just two weeks after the official roll-out of the new racing car for the 2012 DTM season, BMW presented the BMW M3 DTM Concept Car. Dr. Klaus Draeger, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for development, and BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt unveiled the car on last Friday evening in the Double Cone building at Munich’s BMW Welt. As part of the DTM event in the Olympic Stadium, the BMW M3 DTM Concept Car was availble to motorsport fans and visitors at BMW Welt throughout the weekend.

The car offers an initial impression of what the BMW M3 DTM will look like when it lines up at the start of the 2012 season. However, the vehicle was not the only star of the evening at BMW Welt: BMW Motorsport also presented the first two drivers to be confirmed as wearing the company colours in the DTM as of next season – Andy Priaulx and Augusto Farfus.

On Monday, March 28th Jessica Espinoza, an East Bay BMW client assisted East Bay BMW at our KTVU commercial shoot in Oakland at Lake Merritt.

Jessica currently drives a BMW M3 and her husband drives a BMW 5 Series. Jessica is eagerly awaiting the all-new 2012 BMW M3.

BMW M3 wins Nurburgring

BMW wins Nurburgring 24 Hours

The 24hr Nurburgring endurance race took place over the weekend, where the BMW M3 GT2 backed by BMW Motorsport has emerged victorious.

The BMW M3 GT2 with number 25 driven by Jorg Muller, Augusto Farfus, Uwe Alzen and PedroLamy had conquered the first podium position after after completing 154 laps on the Nurburgring circuit.

Drivers Jorg Muller, Augusto Farfus, Uwe Alzen and Pedro Lamy came home ahead of the Farnbacher Ferrari despite gearbox problems causing some scares in the final hours.
